Hypopressives

Hypopressives

Urinary incontinence, urgency to pee, overactive bladders, prolapses are often a hall mark of fading testosterone and oestrogen as the muscle fibres become less active. Or, if you've had children this will have had a role to play. 


It's not something you have to accept!

  

Hypopressives is a methodology that combines breathwork with postural work to help lift and support your pelvic floor without all the stress that the traditional Kegel exercises can cause elsewhere in my body. 


  • Pelvic organ Prolapse
  • Urgency / frequency to pee
  • Incontinence
  • Diastasis Recti

The practise isn’t only just beneficial for pelvic girdle dysfunction but also : 


  • Back pain
  • Scar tissue
  • Postural imbalances 
  • Stress 
  • Abdominal strengthening 
  • Co2 max increasing through rib cage expansion and increasing Co2 tolerance


Sessions are on a 121 basis currently, with plans to set up on line classes soon in January.

"I was diagnosed with a prolapse some years ago which started to be more uncomfortable. After a visit with a consultant discussing options, and having become aware of hypopressives through Claire , I decided to give myself a year before making a decision about an operation. 

I attended Claire’s introductory session in January and signed 

  

"I was diagnosed with a prolapse some years ago which started to be more uncomfortable. After a visit with a consultant discussing options, and having become aware of hypopressives through Claire , I decided to give myself a year before making a decision about an operation. 

I attended Claire’s introductory session in January and signed up for the weekly zoom classes which I started later that month. Five months later, with the weekly session and a few minutes nearly every day on pelvic floor and hypopressive routines, it has made a significant difference to the discomfort I had, and I no longer have the concern that the only option would be an operation.  It took a little while to feel confident that I was exercising correctly and could feel the ‘lift’ I now can but will be continuing to fit the exercises into my day to maintain and hopefully continue to improve the state of the prolapse. 

Without Claire’s support in the weekly sessions I don’t think I would have continued as having an expert to lead you through the process is I feel critical. I would recommend anyone with the same issue to give hypopressives a go!"
