The Pilates method can work for everyone – all ages, genders and fitness levels.

Pilates can help you manage on-going spine and joint problems including Arthritis and Osteoporosis. We create movement strategies for clients with neurological conditions such as Parkinson's Disease, improving mobility and motor skills.

Pilates helps you to recover from sports injuries, teaches you to use your body more effectively to minimise your risk of injury and strengthen the body to enhance performance.


It creates mindfulness and interoception, perfect for supporting you through peri to post menopause as you become more aware of your new body and the joy it has to offer.


It will help manage some of your symptoms as well as releasing those happy hormones to help lift your spirits. Keeping those chronic health conditions at bay by reducing some of the inflammation that occurs during menopause.

It's a very effective way to exercise, strengthen the core muscles of the body and improve your posture overall and it is infinitely adaptable.
 

Pelvic Floor: 

Pilates teaches you how to engage with your core muscles, your pelvic floor is a part of this. Teaching how to load more challenging exercises in whilst engaging pelvic floor to reduce the pressure  makes it a very safe exercise method for anyone suffering prolapses or pelvic floor dysfunction.


In conjunction, Claire is a qualified Hypopressives teacher.

Hypopressives is a methodology that combines breathwork with postural work to help lift and support your pelvic floor without all the stress that the traditional Kegel exercises can cause elsewhere in my body. This  practise isn't only just beneficial for pelvic floor.


However, it may just be the practice that gives you back your femininity!


Urinary incontinence, urgency to pee, overactive bladders, prolapses are often a hall mark of fading testosterone and oestrogen as the muscle fibres become less active. Or child birth has had a role to play. It's not something you have to accept!
